Last night Forest somehow managed to sneak out of the house. She's a strictly indoor cat and has never been out before. We had been searching for her all night and just a little while ago we found her body. She had been hit by an automobile.
I am simply shattered beyond words here. Crestfallen and filled with guilt and sadness - I don't know what I'm gonna do now. There was no cat like Forest - Nothing will ever be the same. Maybe Snow, Leo and Fairy will be able to blog in some time and I'll be able to continue my cats blog - maybe not...I don't know what I'll do now...

Forest was such a beautiful girl, and you loved her so much, and she loved you.
Mom knows how you feel. Two years ago, there was a precious feral kitty (outdoors) whom she'd tamed and was taking care of: his name was Moonlight. Mom had bonded with him closely; she'd already taken him to the vet for a checkup and she was going to get him neutered, but while he still lived outside, he was killed by a car one horrible morning.
It's a terrible shock when somebody we love is taken from us so suddenly and violently, and we understand that you will need time to heal. But please know that love never dies -- let your memories of precious Forest comfort you, cuddle Snow and Leo and Fairy close, and please come back to us on the Cat Blogosphere when you're ready. Our arms and hearts are open.
